Why do I always dread the technical file.....
I think I have some subconcious fear of the sewing machine as it's always something I leave until the last minute.

Right, so I have decided. I need to aim for that first.
Angie was teaching our module and Sue was marking it. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to listen and correctly do what we was taught. And if the marks reflected this then it was worth doing.
So, i changed a lot of my research techniques and design development. I did this by spending a lot of time looking into designers like Mcqueen and Yamamoto, carefully considering tailoring techniques... I don't think I have studied pockets in depth like that before. It definately has broadened my knowledge of tailoring.

9 people, 50 hours to make a tailored jacket...

Tailoring module... Semi looking forward to this, not really my kind of style, fitted, panelling etc. I design in a more free, floaty way.

A series of workshops: fun
A shop report: not fun

Theres something about a shop report that makes me feel guilty. I feel awkward and so very aware of the retail staff, ready to kick me out of the store any minute for catching me taking photos. And observational drawings of garments in the shop? Yeah right, I'd like to see the tutors try and do that.... It frustrates me when they ask you to do something, that is just not feesable.
